Cupcake soap

Today, I decided to make cupcakes  soap. Then  I came out with the design as shown in the picture  below. I hope people will like it. I welcome  any feedback on how to make the design more attractive.

I am constantly trying to update my techniques.

I have always been a very determined and wanted to learn more on soap making. During my trip to Paris recently, I collected several soaps sample in order to expand my research on its texture, fragrance and labeling. Hence why I knew that my step to study at Limkokwing University Of Creative Technology for Product Design is the definite step. I have a broad interest in many subject areas yet feel drawn towards design and creative arts orientated subjects. The reasoning behind my choice is the  intriguing nature of the subject. I particularly enjoy the way my lecturers encourage students to be creative and innovative. I hope with all these knowledge, I will be able to start my very own " Herlysa Lovin Soap Shop ".

Green Tea Soap

Natural handmade with green tea and sugar.

Green tea soap is an inexpensive way to get the anti-bacterial and skin-beautifying properties of green tea as part of your daily bathing ritual. Green tea soap is sweet smelling, non-toxic and leaves your skin fresh and clean. 

Cool Breeze Handmade Soap

Natural handmade with shear butter & peppermint. 

Peppermint refreshes and energizes. Shear butter  has the ability to attract and retain moisture.

The chunks in the soaps

The chunks in the soaps were made with clear melt and pour soap base. 

White melt and pour base was used for the chunks because 

it renders darker colors.

For the over-pour, we used Clear melt and pour base with 

a little color added.  The clear over-pour provided higher contrast

 for the chunks, but the white ones were just as appealing.

 It's laborious...and takes some time...but the results are unlike any other sort of soap you can make.

Alot of people comment when they smell my soaps that they want to eat them and this one is one that I almost have to hold myself back from taking a bite out of.  It smells so delicious.  The spicy aroma reminds me of the holiday season or fall

Tropical Sunset Chamomile Bar Soap

Chamomile Soap is an exceptionally gentle soap scented with a blend of chamomile. A wonderful bath soap! ~

For centuries, Olive oil has been proven to be the ideal oil for perfectly moisturized skin. It is kind and gentle to your skin. It creates this creamy, lotion like lather that is rich, luxurious and satisfying to your skin. 

The soybean oil provides a vegetarian source of fatty acids and Vitamin E which if used daily, improves skin elasticity making your skin softer and younger looking.

The chamomile tea has wonderful skin healing properties, which include helping to tone skin it is good for rashes, it softens the skin and acts as an anti inflammatory.  It is suitable for both Vegetarians and Vegans.  And no ingredients have been tested on animals. 

Ingredients: Olive Oil, Soya Bean Oil, Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Chamomile Tea, Ylang-Ylang and lemon essential oils & Colorant. This listing is for ONE bar of soap. Each Bar weights approximately 100 g and it is packaged and wrapped in protective cellophane.

We’ve created this beautiful soap with tropical essences. It reminds you of the fresh green trees air right next to a large body of water. This is a very clean soapy scent.

The Perfect Valentine Soap

With Valentine's just around the corner, I thought I might suggest which one of my soaps I feel best fits Valentine's Day. 

It's not too early to start preparing for Valentine's Day- and making some fun soaps for your husband, wife, spouse, significant-other, sweetheart or some other folks you like a lot. This project uses a combination of white and clear melt and pour soap base - with red hearts embedded into the soap. This project is based on layering the soap, rather than embedding it. It’s a great gift ! 

The hearth will bring delight and joy to friends and family.  It’s perfect for the special friend as a gift, or weddings or holidays.  We scented the soap with lemon essential oil and packaged in clear protective cellophane.

Day 1

Wow !! What I can say. I was totally exhausted. I just got back from the Mall. Since this was my first time selling my hand made soap to the public, I was quite nervous.

By 10.00 am, when I started to arrange and decorated my stall, people started to swarm.

Lots of questions came from the customers and I tried to answer one by one.

I was totally overwhelmed.

Well..now, time to get back to my lab and I ‘m  gonna start making more soaps for tomorrow. Another long hours and most probably I will sleep just for 2 hours tonite.

I've embedded my teacher pictures within melt & pour glycerin soap as a retirement special gift.  These pretty, easy little soaps are fresh and neat.  Not just picture but scrapbook cutout, vellum and even acrylic designs can be embedded  into crystal clear soap too.  Weight approximately 70 g.

Herlysa Lovin' Soap

Hello people, 

I started making bar soaps at home from scratch a few months ago and have become somewhat "obsessed" with soaps, so finally i decide to make my own soap. Well at first I did it out of curiosity more than anything else. But after I started using my handmade soaps and read more about it, I discovered that they have more benefits than I realized. Until a few months ago.I started using my handmade soaps, and the itching stopped and the dryness improved significantly. I gave some to my parents, cousin, and friends, and everyone liked my soaps.
